Abhishek Verma beat Kim Jongho to claim two medals in the Archery World Cup final. With a silver already in his kitty in compound mixed team event, Verma remained calm in a closely contested match to edge past Jongho and attain bronze in the single's category. In 2015, Verma had ended with silver in his maiden World Cup final appearance in Mexico City.
After the match, Abhishek stated, "Every archer wants the gold, but only one archer can get it. It's a big medal. It's been a good year for me. I have won a medal in every event this year, all bronze, this is my fifth." He even added that his son, Shaurya, is lucky for him.
