AFC Bournemouth look to continue their strong start to the season as they host Leicester City which will benefit from Jamie Vardy’s return from suspension at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday. Bournemouth are unbeaten in their six Premier League meetings with Leicester, though five of these have ended level.
Their only defeat in their opening four games came last time 2-0 away to Chelsea, and before that they had scored two goals in each match in beating Cardiff and West Ham and drawing with Everton. Bournemouth will be without Charlie Daniels who got a knee injury against Chelsea before the international break while Ryan Fraser also remains a doubt for this home game.
On Saturday, Jamie Vardy is set to return for Leicester City, after missing three games following his red card against Wolves and the Foxes will be desperate to have him back against Eddie Howe’s side.
Claude Puel's men have endured a mixed bag of a start to the season. After a narrow defeat at the hands of Manchester United on the opening weekend, the Foxes did bounce back well to pick up wins over Wolves and Southampton, plus Jamie Vardy's former club Fleetwood in the EFL Cup.
A defeat at home to Liverpool last time will have hurt but one can back the Midlands outfit to bounce back with a win on Saturday.
The teams met last in March this year in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw. Since then, the teams have undergone a transformation. This means that they will come into this game with vigor and focus on tearing each other.
This fixture usually bears draw in the Premier League. Since the Cherries were promoted to the Premier League in 2015 the teams have met six times in this competition and on five occasions a draw has been played out. Leicester maybe have more quality in their squad, but Bournemouth are particularly difficult to beat at home.
