Paktia Panthers won their mathc against Balkh Legends by 37 runs in the Afghanistan Premiere League.
Paktia batting first got off to a flyer courtesy, Mohammad Shazad 42 (21) and Ihsanullah Janat 47 (28).
Cameron Delport , who was the next batsman scored the highest from the innings by getting 70 of48 deliveries, as he propelled the Panthers score to 204 in 20 overs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Gulbadin Naib was the pick of the bowlers for the Balkh Legends with 2 wickets for 46 in his 4 overs.
The Legends never looked as chasing it down as they lost Chris Gayle 20 (10) and Colin Munro 23 (20) out early. Afghanistan’s veteran all rounder – Mohammad Nabi scored a quick fire 40 of just 15 balls before getting caught by Sikandar Raza on Ziaur Rahman’s over.
Sri Lanka’s Isuru Udana’s 4 for 38 and Ziaur Rahman’s 3 for 34 were enough to restrict the Balkh Legends to 167.
South Africa’s – Cameron Delport was given the player of the match award for his gutsy knock of 70 runs.
