La Liga counterparts Barcelona and Valencia have completed a stunning swap deal involving two goalkeepers. Dutch international goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen moved from Barcelona to Valencia for €35 million (INR 2.75 billion approx). Cillessen has signed a four-year contract.
Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Neto moved in the opposite direction signing for the Catalan club in a €26 million deal (INR 2.04 billion approx). Neto has also penned a four-year contract.
Cillessen will now become Valencia’s first choice shot-stopper, having been the second choice behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen for three seasons. On the other hand, Neto will look to dislodge ter Stegen as Barca’s first choice goalkeeper.
