Barcelonastriker Luis Suarez admitted that his team had a bit of communication problems that led to a goalless draw againstAthletic Bilbao at San Mames on Sunday.
It came days after Barca wasted home advantage in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against their arch rivals Real Madrid .
Suarez said his team must take the positive side from the results of the match against Bilbao. The Uruguayan also admitted that there were "small details" that made the Catalonia giant lose three important points.
"The important thing is that we have a good advantage, that we are still leaders and we did not lose," said Suarez.
"We have had many games in a row and that shows. We lacked communication between the players, but they are small details. We have to ask for more of the ball."
It could have been a whole lot worse for them on Sunday as they were thankful to goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen for a series of fine stops.
"Ter Stegen has once again demonstrated that he is one of the best in the world. Today he has shown that to everyone again," he added.
As for Messi, who started the game after a recent thigh problem, Suarez said, "If Messi played it's because he's 100 percent. But it was difficult to play because they constantly stopped the game with fouls."
Finally, he also praised the brilliant performance of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who made two big stops, "That's why Ter Stegen's one of the best in the world. He's shown it again here."
After this draw, the Catalans now have a total of 51 points from 23 La Liga matches they have played this season and are six points ahead of their eternal rivals, Real Madrid in the second place.
