Christmas is gone, new year’s eve is gone and now this year feels old enough to break those resolutions we made at the beginning of this year. Those resolutions which we hoped to follow no matter what are the circumstances in our life. Those resolutions which we wrote on a sheet of paper while also describing some code of conducts we will be following to be a better person. Those resolutions we promised to ourselves while looking in the mirror while clenching our fists to show ourselves that this time it’s serious and we really want to change our lives. And in our case, it’s about changing some nocturnal habits which we started harboring as soon as we fell in love with football and started following a team which feels like Horcrux to us and our soul can’t survive without it.
Now it’s that time of the year where normalities resume and our basic instincts prevail. The dust of change settles and here we are breaking our promises and resolutions.
Because Bundesliga is returning to action after one month of a hiccup and bringing it with French Ligue One. Packing our schedule in the night and now we can enjoy our full dose of football. Now we can wake late into the night while thinking about a golden opportunity to enjoy a late tea with some snacks, though doctor won’t recommend it and your parents and family members will definitely sulk at you. But it’s football and you can always break some rules. Besides nobody will be there in your room to take your name into their books, giving you some timely warnings about the adverse effect of drinking tea and waking late. It’s football, you may utter to yourself if some self-precautionary thoughts make you think about your dwindling health and those dark circles which, quite inadvertently, started to rule under your eyes.
But you know that you can always feign like Sergio Busquets-
