Champion Greco-Roman wrestler Rajender Kumar from the states of Haryana did not get much recognition in India, as other freestyle wrestlers have earned in the nation. The scope of Greco-Roman wrestling has also increased in India.
This time Greco-Roman wrestlers are all set to show their stamina and skills in the Senior Asian Wrestling Championships.
The championship is all set to take place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and the championship will include Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle and women wrestling.
The 32-year-old, Rajender Kumar had secured the gold medal in the 2010 Commonwealth Championships by beating Pakistan’s Azhar Hussain by 11-0 in the 55 kg weight category.
