Indian shooters Anjum Moudgil and Apurvi Chandela missed out on a podium finish after making it to the finals in the women's 10m Air Rifle event in the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup.
Star shooter Chandela narrowly missed out on securing a medal as she finished fourth with a total score of 207.8. Moudgil stood sixth in the event. Earlier, the duo became the first set of Indian shooters to secure a spot for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The shooters qualified when Moudgil won a silver medal while Chandela stood fourth in the ISSF World Championship in Changwon, South Korea.
In Men's 50-metre Rifle 3 Positions event, Indian shooters Chain Singh and Parul Kumar finished with a score of 1169 and 1168 in the first relay at 16th and 18th positions, respectively.
Sanjeev Rajput, in the second men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions elimination, made it to the qualification round after finishing fifth with 1171.
Mehuli Ghosh broke the national record while participating in the Minimum Qualification Score (MQS). She scored a personal best of 632.2 in the 10m Air Rifle event.
