Daniel Chopra opened with an even par 70 to be placed Tied-62 in the FedEx St. Jude Classic. Chopra, who had three birdies and three bogeys in first eight holes, parred his last 10 holes for a 70.
The 51-year-old Steve Stricker (66) was in shared second place with 10 others, as Brandon Harkins (65) lead the field with 65. Stricker and Phil Mickelson shot 4-under 66 to be in an 11-player tie for second -- a stroke behind Power. The bunch at 66 included Brooks Koepka, who defends his US Open title next week.
Second-ranked Dustin Johnson was at 67 with Retief Goosen, Scott Stallings and seven others.
