The host of the ICC Cricket World Cup, 2019, England, has finally announced their 15-member squad for the prestigious event. The exclusion of Jofra Archer, Sam Billings, and Sam Curran has raised a few eyebrows as all three have been in decent form.
Eoin Morgan will be leading the team, while Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, and Alex Hales will give additional depth to the team’s batting line-up.
On the other hand, Moeen Ali, Tom Curran, and Ben Stokes will be showing their all-around abilities to turn the fortunes of their side in the upcoming tournament.
In the bowling department, the onus will be on Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, Liam Plunkett, and Adil Rashid. Wood, Woakes, and Plunkett will be spearheading the pace department while Rashid and Ali will try to bamboozle the opposition with their spin.
