Australia’s Ashleigh Barty will take on Czech Republic’s Marketa Vondrousova in the women’s singles final of the French Open. Both the players will seek their first ever Grand Slam title.
In the semi-finals, Barty, who is a former cricketer, defeated Amanda Anisimova of United States. Barty triumphed 6-7(4-7), 6-3, 6-3 against defending champion Simona Halep’s conqueror. On the other hand, 19-year-old Vondrousova, ousted Great Britain’s Johanna Konta 7-5, 7-6(7-2).
