Haryana wrestlers dominated proceedings at Under-23 National Wrestling Championship. Their men combined to win 4 out of 10 gold medals, mostly coming in heavier weight categories of the freestyle events which ended at the Gora Badi Indoor Stadium. They also won a silver and 4 bronze medals which led to their state wrestlers getting the top perch and overall championship title.
The Haryana wrestlers compiled 195 points. Delhi fell short by some distance (165) and Maharashtra managed 139 points. Both Delhi and Maharashtra finished second and third respectively.
All the gold medal winners will represent India in Under-23 World Championships which will be held in the Romanian capital from November 12 to 18.
