It’s been 3 days since Belgium floored the Netherlands 3-2 in a penalty shootout to win their maiden Men’s Hockey World Cup title at the Kalinga stadium, in Bhubaneswar. And they are over the moon with the glory. And why shouldn’t be they, this was Belgium’s first World Championship victory in a team sport.
Belgium’s celebrated stars not only took the World Cup trophy in their lap but took it on to the bed as well and slept with it too. The series of events was captured on camera and was on social networking sites including Twitter where the hero of the final goalkeeper Vincent Vanasch, Simon Gougnard and Loick Lupayert were seen on the bed hugging the World Cup trophy.
