Los Angeles Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been benched for the next two games due to 'violent behaviour'.
In the match against New York City FC, Ibrahimovic and goalkeeper, Sean Johnson collided after which Ibrahimovic grabbed Johnson’s neck.
For the unsportsmanlike conduct, both players received a yellow card. However, the MLS Disciplinary Committee sanctioned a two-match ban on Ibrahimovic for his actions.
Galaxy is placed third in the Western Conference and trails Los Angeles FC by eight points.
