Igor Stimac has included Anas Edathodika in India’s preliminary squad for the upcoming Intercontinental Cup. The 32-year-old centre back had retired after the AFC Asian Cup 2019.
Anas will now come out of retirement as Stimac has named him among the 35 players for the national training camp. India will take on Tajikistan in their opening match of the Intercontinental Cup on July 7. The Blue Tigers will also face North Korea and Syria in the quadrilateral tournament.
35 players have been selected for the national team camp starting on June 25 in Mumbai for the Hero Intercontinental Cup.
