Serbia’s Novak Djokovic emerged as the second finalist in the ongoing Italian Open. The 31-year-old World No. 1, after a gruelling encounter with Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman that last two hours 31 minutes, won 6-3, 6-7, 6-3.
Djokovic, who won the recently concluded Madrid Open, will be up against Spain’s Rafael Nadal in the final. Nadal has 50 final appearances in the ATP World Tour Masters while Djokovic has 49.
Earlier, Nadal had beaten Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight-sets 6-3, 6-4.
