In an exclusive interview with Manas Tapadar of Sports Flashes, former captain of the Indian women's team, Jhulan Goswami spoke highly about Jasprit Bumrah's recent success and how he has been dominating world cricket at the moment.
"He (Bumrah) is one of the best bowlers in world cricket. The way he planned as to how to get rid of the batsmen and executed his plans, is just superb. Especially, if you see Quinton de Kock’s wicket, it was properly set up by him and the captain assisted him equally.”
Goswami, who is the leading international wicket-taker in ODIs, also spoke about the English conditions and India’s upcoming match against Australia.
“It is always a special occasion to be in England. The people here enjoy their cricket and the atmosphere is amazing,” she shared.
“So far everything is fine… India played its first game really well. The bowlers did a very good job and we are hoping for the best in the remainder of the tournament.”
“Australia is a tough opposition and they have done really well in the World Cups. It will be a tough contest but at the same time, India has been doing well and hopefully, they’ll win the next match as well,” she added.
