Ajay Thakur-led Indian kabaddi team dominated arch-rivals Pakistan 36-20 in the opening game of Kabaddi Masters 2018 at Al-Wasl Sports Complex, Dubai on Friday.
The fully packed stadium saw a clinical performance from the Indian team throughout the game. However, the beginning of the first-half of the game was a bit sedate but Thakur’s prowess found India opening up a fine 22-9 lead at the break.
The skipper scored 15 raid points and was equally strong in tackle which fetched the team 12 more points to help the team win the game with a scoreline of 36-20.
Giving full credit to Thakur for his incisive raids, India coach Srinivas Reddy said: “He broke both their corners and dismantled their defence early on.
