Liverpool has completed the signing of Sepp van den Berg, dubbed ‘Baby Van Dijk’ from Eredivisie club PEC Zwolle. The 17-year-old centre-back arrives for a fee of £1.3 million (INR 11.4 million approx.).
Van den Berg, who has made 22 senior appearances for Zwolle since his debut in March 2018, is expected to start life in Liverpool’s academy, with a view to moving him into the first-team. The teenager has signed a long-term contract and becomes the first summer signing of the reigning European champions.
