It is Lunch on Day 5 of the fifth and final test match of the series and England will be mighty pleased how this session has turned out to be for them.
The Indian batsmen had a good start and both the batsmen were building the Indian innings slow and steadily. KL Rahul came to the crease with an attacking mindset yet again and scored a brilliant century. His shot selection and aggression turned out to be great for the team.
But, it was again Moeen Ali who came to the rescue for the English side and took the important wicket of Ajinkya Rahane. Just when we thought that Rahane seemed to be settling into a groove, Moeen tossed it up and he swiped across the line. The ball instead looped up in front of square to Keaton Jennings and he made no mistake.
And just like we have seen in the series if one man goes down another one follows. We saw the same scene in this innings too and Stokes took the wicket of debutant Hanuma Vihari. A nasty short of the length delivery, it took the edge of Vihari's bat and the ball went straight into the gloves of Jonny Bairstow.
KL Rahul is currently not out on 108, whereas Rishabh Pant is playing on 12.
As it stands, India have put on a score of 167 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. India need another 297 runs to win the match and Englans need 5 wickets to win the match and clinch the series 4-1.
