Romanian tennis star Simona Halep defeated Switzerland's Belinda Bencic to advance to the finals of the Madrid Open.
Despite being defeated by Bencic on previous two occasions, Halep held the fort as she finished the game in under two hours, 6-2, 6-7, 6-0.
Halep, who will be playing her fourth final in the Madrid Open, will be up against Dutch tennis player, Kiki Bertens. If the World No. 3 wins the title, she will reclaim the number one spot.
