Manchester City player made up almost half of the Professional Footballers’ Association’s Premier League team of the year.
Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Kyle Walker and Nicolas Otamendi were picked in the team, which is selected by fellow players in the Professional Footballers' Association.
Tottenham were the only other team to have more than one representative, boasting three players in defender Jan Vertonghen, midfielder Christian Eriksen and striker Harry Kane.
Manchester United's only inclusion was goalkeeper David de Gea, while left-back Marcos Alonso was the sole player from dethroned champions Chelsea.
Salah, who has scored 30 goals in 32 appearances in his first season at Liverpool, is the favourite to be named the Player of the Year later this month. He became the first player to win the Premier League Player of the Month award three times in one season when he was recognised last week.
There was no recognition for Burnley players, even though their club are challenging Arsenal for sixth place and they may qualify for European competition for the first time.
