A Maninder Singh inspired Bengal Warriors smashed Bengaluru Bulls 44-37 at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune on Thursday. Bengaluru Bulls ended their home leg with a loss.
Bengaluru Bulls were leading Bengal Warriors 19-12 at half-time. Maninder Singh single-handedly led the comeback for Bengal as they inflicted a heavy loss at Bengaluru after overturning a 7 point deficit.
Bengal Warriors scored three back-to-back all-outs after the start of the second half which proved decisive in the end.
It was a one-man show which propelled the game into Bengal's favor, Maninder Singh secured 17 raid points out of 20 attempts to thump the Zone table toppers.
With this result, Bengal Warriors (42 points) closed the gap between them and second-placed Patna Pirates (43 Points) to just one point with a game in hand. Bengaluru Bulls, on the other hand, maintained their top spot with 58 points.
