Marcello Lippi has been reappointed as the head coach of China's national team as the nation looks to cement a place in FIFA World Cup 2022.
The 71-year-old Italian had resigned from his post after China failed to make it to the semi-finals of theAFC Asian Cup in January 2019. The Chinese Football Associationannounced his reintroduction to management on Friday morning.
Lippi was the coach of the Italian team that won the World Cup in 2006.
