South Africa has lost all three matches and they have only one point due to an abandoned match. Afghanistan is a much better side compared to two years ago. But, South Africa is a good team.
Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis has the responsibility to build their innings. In the absence of Dale Steyn, Lungi Ngidi and Kagiso Rabada have to bowl well.
Hazratullah Zazai, Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi are Afghanistan’s three key batsmen. Najibullah Zadran is also an important player. No matter how much the Afghans improve, they will have problems against the Proteas. They had problems against New Zealand and against Sri Lanka, they collapsed.
Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi’s bowling spells will be crucial for stopping South Africa. If du Plessis and de Kock play well, combined with Hashim Amla’s support then South Africa will win the match. My prediction is that South Africa will finally open their account.
