I think West Indies will win this match. I have said it earlier also that I don’t believe in this Sri Lanka team. They had won against England only due to Lasith Malinga’s heroics. It’s a better West Indies team. They need to take forward their story of resurgence.
In bowling, Jason Holder, Kemar Roach and maybe they will experiment a bit and bring in Shannon Gabriel. Chris Gayle signing off from the World Cup should bat decent and should bat better. Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran are getting the starts but are not converting them into big scores. Shai Hope is their best batsman. He needs to play big innings.
The opening partnership is a major concern for Sri Lanka. Very bad performances from Angelo Mathews. So that inconsistent middle order is creating pressure on the bowlers. Nuwan Pradeep is out. Their bowling hopes lie on the shoulders of Lasith Malinga, who is a shadow of his former self.
All said and done, I think West Indies will sign off on a high by winning this match against the Lankans.
