What a match between New Zealand and West Indies! Before the match, I thought New Zealand would easily clinch this one.
West Indies were nine wickets down for 245 runs in their chase of 291 when Sheldon Cotrell walked back into the hut. Nobody thought this game would go so deep.
Carlos Brathwaite played a sensational knock of 82 balls 101 and was caught at long on by Trent Boult with 286 on board to win it for the Kiwis. And that is cricket for you, till the last ball you don't know what will happen... the game of uncertainties.
Brathwaite was crestfallen and collapsed to his knees after that catch. He scored a century but he desperately wanted to win the game for his side, that did not happen. For the West Indies, this is the end of the road, they should've won.
New Zealand, on the other hand, is set to secure a semi-final spot with this, last time's finalist shouldn't be taken lightly. Kane Williamson played a captain's knock of 148 and the match would have been completely different if not for him. A ton against the Proteas to lead his side to a win and then again in a match winning cause against Windies is something positive going forward.
New Zealand's bowling attack is a plus for them with Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry. Along with Jimmy Neesham and Colin de Grandhomme in the side, they are a complete team.
