Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami were exceptional in the game against Afghanistan. India won the match in the 49th over as Bumrah bowled six brilliant yorkers and that was the turning point.
If you talk about the match from Afghanistan’s perspective as well as world cricket, it was certainly a great game of cricket. No one thought that Afghanistan can put up such a close fight against a team like India.
Afghan spinners were amazing in the first half while MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav struggled to rotate the strike in the latter stages of the Indian batting.
The target of 225 was achievable but India’s bowling was on point. Bumrah bowled an extraordinary spell and that one over where he picked two wickets of Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi, shifted the momentum in India’s favour.
Key pointers for India’s next game. Don’t get stuck in the middle overs. Keep rotating the strike as that lessens the pressure. Don’t get out while playing shots such as reverse sweep. KL Rahul got off to a start but gave away his wicket due to poor shot selection. And use Bumrah properly because he is your stellar bowler.
