Though Pakistan won the game versus Bangladesh, they have now crashed out of the ICC World Cup.
It was impossible to get Bangladesh bundled out for just seven and, to be honest, this just wasn’t the best Pakistani unit as compared to their previous teams.
The way they lost to West Indies and Indies cost them their run rate as it was in negative and went in favour of New Zealand.
Bangladesh on the other would be disappointed to lose against Pakistan.
There was a heavy reliance on Shakib al Hasan who scored 606 runs in the tournament and is very much in contention for the man of the tournament award.
Mashrafe Mortaza might have just played his final game in the World Cup with all the injuries that he’s endured over the years.
Bangladesh should now look beyond Mashrafe Mortaza, and both subcontinent nations would have thought that they would have had a much better run in the mega event, but it just wasn’t to be as their campaign comes to an end.
