I had a feeling that South Africa will run over Sri Lanka.
Yes, they might have beaten England, but this current Sri Lankan team lacks consistency which used to be there during the era of Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara.
While choosing to bat first, Sri Lanka at no point looked like they ensured stability in their lineup as they constantly lost wickets at regular intervals.
Meanwhile, South Africa just lost the one early wicket of Quinton de Kock and then it was the Hashim Amla and Faf Du Plessis show who won the game for the Proteas with the utmost ease.
South Africa had nothing to lose in this game, but it was an extremely important game for Sri Lanka.
So now the pool table is narrowing down to Bangladesh, Pakistan, and England to make the cut to the semis.
