Famous cricket analyst Boria Majumdar gave his insight about Team India’s chances in the second T20I versus Australia in an exclusive interview with Sports Flashes, and also spoke about the importance of MS Dhoni in the team in spite of questionable performance in the first T20I, and added further detail by speaking about the changes that could be brought in the second and final game at Bangalore.
Borira Mazumdar :- “ MS Dhoni as a long term option in T20Is is not the most feasible option, but at the same time giving the legend more number of matches before the world cup is a perfectly fine strategy, and MS Dhoni’s utility is not only in his batting, it is also about the way he assists Virat Kohli in terms of field placements, in terms of instructing the bowlers where to bowl."
"India might have to bring in Vijay Shankar in place of Dinesh Karthik or Rishabh Pant, because Vijay Shankar provides team India with that one extra bowling option, especially since Hardik Pandya is not there in the squad.”
“ As far as Umesh Yadav, is concerned, time is running out for the fast bowler, he is bowling well in red ball cricket, particularly for Vidarhba in the Ranji Trophy, but having come to white ball cricket, he’s once again leaking runs and conceding boundaries, because of which his spot in the side is also not confirmed, so it’s either going to be Umesh Yadav or someone between Pant or Karthik who misses the second T20I.”
