In the latest development regarding The Oklahoma City Thunder's Nerlens Noel and his head injury, it has been revealed that the player is out of hospital after suffering from concussion. Noel suffered concussion after an elbow to the head during January 8's night game against Minnesota Timberwolves. In the match, Timberwolves prevailed on top.
Noel was struck by Andrew Wiggins' elbow, and the team said he lost consciousness from the fall he took to the floor at the 5:16 mark of the third quarter. Noel has been placed in the NBA's concussion protocol.
Wiggins and his Timberwolves' teammates were equally concerned about Noel's injury. After the match, Wiggins had even shared a tweet saying:
As per the NBA's concussion policy, Noel will now commence the NBA-mandated return-to-participation protocol. Thus, he cannot resume basketball activities until it is determined that he is absolutely symptom-free. There is no such timetable to wrap up the protocol.
Talking about Noel's performances, in 39 games (one start) this season he averages 5.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 13.7 minutes.
