Japan's Nozomi Okuhara continued her winning streak to win Korea Open in women's category. Okuhara, who ended Indian contingent's campaign by ousting Saina Nehwal, defeated USA's Zhang Beiwen 21-10, 17-21, 21-16 in the final. This is Okuhara's second title in 2018 following her triumph at Thailand Open.
The first set went in Okohara's favour without breaking much sweat. However, she was in for a fight as Beiwen bounced back with reduced errors in the second round. Like she did in the semifinals, Okohara brought her A game in the last round and lifted the title.
