The thrilling match ended 35-35 with Pardeep Narwal saving Patna from a last-gasp defeat after Ajay Thakur made a superb raid, with two minutes remaining in the second half, he extracted two points to hand Thalaivas a short-lived lead.

Ajay Thakur was the star of the show for Tamil Thalaivas, collecting 16 raid points out of 24 attempts. Manjeet Chhillar was great in the defense. He made 6 tackles, extracting 4 points in the process.
Pardeep Narwal was there for the rescue for Patna when required and collected crucial 11 raid points which in the end proved decisive.
