The match gave Delhi their 2nd win of the home leg and also their 2nd win over Puneri Paltan in the 6th edition of the League.
The match started with the 1st point coming from the defense of Delhi when Vishal Mane trapped raider GB More in the 1st minute of the game. And then came the Super raid from Naveen Kumar which wiped out the Puneri Paltan from the mat and made the score 10-1 in the next minute. After the 1st All Out was inflicted on Paltan, they did make a mini come back to end the 1st Half at 18-10.
The 2nd half too started with an onslaught from Dabangs when Satpal led a Super Tackle on raider Parvesh with an ankle hold. The continuous successful raids from the Delhi based team widened the gap to 12 points at 24-12 with 13 minutes still remaining in the match. Deepak Kumar Dahiya then made a 3-point, Super Raid for the visitors to claw them back into the match, but it proved too little because the Dabangs were no pushovers as they inflicted another All Out on Puneri Paltan to make it 30-19 with 5 minutes remaining in the match. It was then all about formalities as the hosts slowed down the tempo and finished the match at 35-24.
The win takes Dabang Delhi to the 4th position with 45 points from 16 matches. They are now at a touching distance from Puneri Paltan, who is 3rd on the table with 47 points from 19 matches.
