Pro Kabaddi league franchise Dabang Delhi Kabaddi Club is all set to host country’s biggest school kabaddi championship, i.e. the Interschool Kabaddi Championship in Dehradun.
The grass-root programme will be hosted by Summer Valley School, Dehradun, where the franchise will look to offer the children all the exposure to showcase their talent. The main aim behind the championship is to build Kabaddi as a prominent sport in the country, as it will be the fine opportunity for children to interact and learn with the best players of the sport.
The championship will see 16 schools competing against each other and the event will run from 16th to 18th August.
DoIT Sports Management, through its franchise Dabang Delhi KC, is looking to build a grass-root kabaddi ecosystem.
Commenting on this, Mrs. Radha Kapoor Khanna, Founder & Executive Director, DoIT Sports Management said, “The Interschool Kabaddi Championship is our way of reaching out to the future of Kabaddi in this country. We believe this is a true grassroots initiative, especially since we aren’t just sticking to Delhi. We’ve strategically chosen Dehradun, because it’s a hub of schools. We want to give children a unique experience with player involvement, live broadcasts, and state of the art infrastructure. With Kabaddi constantly gaining popularity in India, it’s important that we show the upcoming generation the future that exists for them in the sport.”
