Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu, who is currently ranked world no.3, has been defeated by the eighth-seeded He Bingjiao of China in the quarter-finals of ongoing Indonesian Open on Friday.
Bingjiao completely outclassed Sindhu and thrashed her in straight sets 21-14, 21-15 to succeed further in the tournament.
Yesterday, Sindhu defeated Japan’s Aya Ohori 21-17, 21-14 to enter quarterfinals and there she was looking in her top form but today was not her day.
Following this match, Sindhu and Bingjiao have now met each other for 11 times where Sindhu has won five of them and Bingjiao has won 6.
Meanwhile, no Indian shuttler managed to reach the semifinals of the Indonesia Open, with Kidambi Srikanth getting knocked out in the first round, HS Prannoy lost in quarter-finals and Saina Nehwal losing in the Round of 16 on Friday.
