India's star shuttler PV Sindhu continued her great run, cementing a place in the quarterfinals by winning her pre-quarterfinal match on Thursday.
Sindhu defeated Busanan Ongbamrungphan of Thailand, 21-12 and 21-15 in the pre-quarterfinals.
Sindhu finished the match in just 37 minutes. Sindhu ensured her victory by earning 5 consecutive points. Indian stalwart dominated her opponent in the match, the fact that Sindhu won 42 points in the 69 point match further goes on to drive the point home.
Talking about head to head record, 10 contests have taken place between Sindhu and Busanan, in which all the matches have been won by the Indian. Earlier, Sindhu defeated the Russian player Kosetskaya straight in sets and made it to the pre-quarter.
In the match, Indian shuttler Sindhu beat Kosetskaya 21-13 in the first set. In the second set too, Sindhu showed her aggressive game, defeating Kotsetsaka 21-19.
