Nothing sounds as good as success and it is usually money which follows success. As in the case of ace badminton player PV Sindhu, who has entered into a 4-year agreement with Chinese Sports brand Li-Ning.
Olympic Silver medalist and BWF World Tour Finals champion PV Sindhu has signed a massive four-year sports sponsorship deal in the tune of Rs 50 crore with Chinese sports brand Li Ning.
Li-Ning had last month confirmed the signing with Kidambi Srikanth as well, The Srikanth deal is stated to be worth 35 crores.
This will be Sindhu’s second stint with Li-Ning. She along with top men’s shuttler Kidambi Srikanth had endorsed Li-Ning in 2014 and 2015 before Yonex had managed to snatch the duo in 2016.
"Sindhu's deal is one of the biggest in world badminton. It is close to Rs 50 crore for sponsorship and equipment," Mahender Kapoor, director, Sunlight Sports Pvt Ltd, the multi-national exclusive partner of Li-Ning in India said.
For Sindhu, one of the highest paid female brand icon and the highest paid female athlete, the contract is several times higher. Li-Ning for the earlier two-year deal in 2014-2015 had signed Sindhu at Rs 1.25 crore per annum.

It is worth mention that PV Sindhu, earlier in this month, had also been revealed as the brand ambassador of insurance company PNB Metlife.
The Chinese sports brand had also signed a two-year deal with Indian Olympic Association last year. As part of the deal, it will provide Indian athletes and officials with competition and training apparel, leisure-wear and footwear for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
