Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly rejected the chance to sign Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi in this summer transfer.
‘The Whites’ have still not replaced Cristiano Ronaldo, with Chelsea thus far managing to keep hold of Eden Hazard.
According to Spanish media, Real Madrid recently held talks with Icardi's representative and wife Wanda Nara amid suggestions that the Argentine could move to the Bernabeu.
However, the same report has also stated that the European champions backed out of the deal, and have no target to bring the striker to the Spanish capital.
Argentine goal-machine Icardi has scored 107 goals in 182 appearances for Inter since his move from Sampdoria in the summer of 2013. Last season, the 25 year-old goal-getter scored 29 times in 36 appearances.
