It is not unknown that a feature film is on its way based on India's star shuttler, Saina Nehwal's life. The biopic is being helmed by director Amol Gupte, and Shraddha Kapoor plays the lead. The shooting kicked off sometime back but Shraddha's portions have been halted following her dengue. Meanwhile, the portions involving younger Saina and the support cast is being carried out currently. It is reported that Shraddha will join the shooting in a few days after full recovery.
The film will showcase Saina's interest for badminton and how she became one of India's most prominent shuttlers. The first look of the flick was shared on social media sometime back with striking similarities in Shraddha and Saina. The film is expected to release next year.
Talking about Saina's current form, she has been on a rough patch ever since her bronze medal finish in Asian Games, Jakarta. She opted out of Japan Open and faced a first-round exit in China Open. Further more, she crashed out of Korea Open quarterfinals recently.
