Sourabh Verma could not sustain momentum in the second round of Chinese Taipei Open and has crashed out of the tournament. Coming on the back of an impressive win after losing the first set of the previous clash, Verma ended on the wrong side of Thursday's battle versus Riichi Takeshita. After winning the first set by 21-19, Sourabh failed to hold onto lead and close the game in the penultimate round. It was a keenly-contested battle but Takeshita held onto his nerves.
With one set shared each, Takeshita brought his A game to stamp his authority in the clash and proceed further. The Japan shuttler won the last two rounds 23-21, 21-16.
