In yet another shocking loss for the Spanish giants Barcelona, striker Luis Suarez has been ruled out for a month due to a knee-injury. The Uruguayan striker had suffered the injury during the second leg of Spanish Super Cup against the rivals Real Madrid where they were humbled 5-1 on aggregate.
With Neymar already out of the Catalans' team the team didn't look in good shape and form and with the injury of Suarez, Barcelona would have a tough time on the field ahead of the la liga opening.
This is specially going to make it difficult for their national side ahead of the World Cup qualifiers. Having already lost Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain new manager Ernesto Valverde will also be without their key forward.
Suarez pulled up late in the clash at the Bernabeu and with all three substitutes already made, he reluctantly saw the rest of the match out.
As well as the start of the La Liga season, he will miss Uruguay’s World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Paraguay.
