Czech tennis star Tomas Berdych decided to withdraw his name from this year’s French Open after failing to recover from a back injury.
The 33-year-old, who reached the semi-final of the 2010 edition, will not be competing for the first time after participating for 15 years consecutively in Roland Garros.
“I am not 100 percent ready to play the way I want and need to be competitive on the courts I love so much,” shared Berdych on Twitter.
