Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli has joined hands with Ridesharing app Uber as its first brand ambassador in India, a first of its kind initiative across the Asia Pacific region.
The association will see the duo working together to highlight the company’s commitment to serve billions in the country in the coming years.
Speaking on the occasion, Amit Jain, President, Uber India and SA, said, “We are extremely delighted to sign on Virat Kohli to bat as brand ambassador for Uber India. Commenting on his association with Uber, Kohli said, “As a cricketer, I travel a lot and I have personally enjoyed the seamless experience of booking an Uber. Furthermore to the partnership, the 29-year-old star batsman will be actively occupied in a series of innovative marketing and customer experience campaigns to be offered by Uber India.
