Fifteen-year-old weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga, in a recently concluded Youth Olympics, made history by winning gold in 62 kg category. He became the first Indian player to win a gold medal at the Youth Olympics. Aizawl's 15-year-old Jeremy weighed 274 kg (124 kgs +150 kg). Jeremy weighed 150 kilograms in his last attempt at Clean and Jerk. Earlier, he had taken 124 kilograms of weight in snatch. In this match held in the Argentine capital, they secured the gold medal by defeating Toptus Kaneer of Turkey and Liver Estivan of Colombia. Kaner got 263 kg (122 kg +144 kg) and Astivan weighed 260 kg (115 kg +143 kg).
