Andre Russell's swashbuckling form in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League has earned him a place in the Windies' squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
Russell's form will be a huge boost for the Caribbean side as he can single-handedly turn the fortunes of the side at the crucial stages of the tournament.
On the other hand, Russell's fellow countrymen Sunil Narine & Kieron Pollard have not been to make a cut in the final 15-member squad for the highly prestigious event that will take place in England & Wales.
Talking about the squad, Jason Holder will be leading the side to this year's tournament with Chris Gayle, Darren Bravo, Shai Hope, Evin Lewis and Shimron Hetmyer spearheading the batting department of the Windies.
Meanwhile, skipper Jason Holder, Carlos Brathwaite, and Ashley Nurse will be helping the side with their all-around abilities.
In the bowling department, the pace attack will be led by youngsters Oshane Thomas & Sheldon Cottrell while veteran Kemar Roach makes a surprise entry to the coloured outfit for the World Cup.
Fabian Allen and Ashley Nurse will tangle the batsmen in their web of spin.
