The women folks are outclassing their men counterparts as far as winning eyeballs on a magazine’s cover page. Well, the latest edition of Femina makes us say so.
The January 2019 edition of popular feminine magazine “Femina” has put not one, not two but four Indian athletes on its cover page, who brought laurels for the country from the field of sports in the year 2018. The important fact is none of these sportspersons came from a cricketing background and have all excelled in Olympic Sports. Those who have featured on the elite publication are Rahi Sarnobat, the first Indian woman shooter to win an individual Asian Games gold in the 25m pistol event, Vinesh Phogat, who won India’s first gold medal in women’s wrestling at Asian Games 2018. Also on the cover are heptathlete Swapna Barman, who bagged gold in the challenging track and field event, heptathlon, and Hima Das, the sprinter from Assam who won a silver medal in the 400m finals & Gold medal in the 4x400m Women Realy at the Asian Games.
