Indian all-rounder, Vijay Shankar was declared fit to play in the ICC World Cup after scans showed no signs of a fracture.
Shankar suffered injuries during a practice session on Friday. He was hit by a short-pitch delivery from left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed, who is also travelling with the Indian team.
Shankar, who is still recuperating, would want to be fit as soon as possible so that he can feature in the second warm-up game.
