In the first semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2019, New Zealand ousted India by 18 runs over two days of play at Old Trafford, Manchester.
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bat first. Ross Taylor was the top scorer for the Blackcaps with 74, while Williamson scored a valuable 67 as the Kiwis posted 239.
In reply, the Indian top order fell like a pack of cards as Matt Henry and Trent Boult wreaked havoc. Ravindra Jadeja was the top scorer for India with 77, while MS Dhoni scored a half-century as the Men in Blue were bowled out for 221.
